I'm trying to redo interior door trims but not having much luck doing the chrome stripes along the doors. I'm using chrome pinstriping but it just won't stick properly. Does anyone have any better ideas of what I can use

Clean it off with wax and grease remover 3 or 4 times & new rags first if you haven't already ? It could have a silicone build up on it now. See how that goes, you can then seal the ends with a "little" bit of acrylic clear, like the stripe guy's do ! I then use meguires natural shine on the vinyl parts, just looks normal & not to Shiney, & not full of silicone. Gary.

Did you vinyl spray the trims black or was that how you got them? You may need to remove the vinyl paint from the plastic strips?

Yeah or even mask up panel and use
something like an 3M vinyl, plastic adhesive product to help bond.unsure if the product is suitable for pinstrip or what it would b like down the track if you ever wanted to replace.i was watching on spraypainters australia a
week or so ago and they had a bike tank and brushed chrome paint on it and you should of
seen itself level and go like a mirror.just thinking aloud just maybe they have it for
vinyl, plastic and then cleared to protect....just a thought...
