Anyone have any experience with these Bond batteries? I need a new Batt for the LJ and I'm interested if these are worth it.

Cheers

The old Bosch alternator may have trouble charging one, especially if it goes flat. I think the modern electrical charging systems spike the voltage or something. What about lithium? I have one in my road bike which didn't get used for 18 months. Battery wouldn't even run a dash light. I push started it and after a 10 minute ride the battery was like new again. Been using it every couple of weeks since.

I have used the calcium gel batteries quite a few times. They are great for an occasional use vehicle. Don't seem to lose charge when sitting around and will survive a good flattening and be fine after charging up. Usually cheaper than the lead acid batteries these days.
I don't think I've managed to kill one.

Many years ago I tried one of those Odyssey gel batteries but I had an issue with a power drain that kept flattening the battery. I think I killed that battery using the wrong type of charger.

On another note I ended up going and buying another run of the mill car battery so thanks for the responses guys. :)
