Just wondering if anyone has a pic or two of a B&M Quicksilver Shifter installed in an LC/LJ Torana and a measurement of how far forward it is from the handbrake when it is down.
Thanks

Failing that, if anyone has some tips and pointers on installing one that would be great too.
I noticed when I sat the shifter on the tunnel that the top of the plastic surround was about 20mm too high to bolt it on.
Would it be best to space under the shifter to get it to meet the surround or, cut the surround so it matches where the shifter sits.
Ps If possible, could an admin please fix the title to be LC/LJ.

Havnt one but i dont think it matters where
It is long as you have room from handbrake
when in 1st and where its comfortable for
you when your sitting in seat.
I have a hurst pistol grip shifter and where
i wanted it had to shorten handbrake an inch..
Yeah id space it prolly 10mm as the carpet
and underlay will take up 10...or is carpet
down.

Good point MAZ, I’ll install the shifter but wait until I put the carpet and underfelt back in to assess if I have to cut the surround.

I am tall with long arms and this position suits me fine.

Thanks Rexy,
That shifter is a lot shorter than the quicksilver is.
Because i extended the dash so i could install a radio semi neatly under the dash, it has reduced the clearance of the shifter when it is in park. This means I have to move it back quite a lot so am more concerned abou the clearance to the handbrake.
I think where it is sitting is the best spot it can be and shouldn’t cause any problems. When I cut the surround to shape it should sit a lot better too.
