Hi apparently picked up a recently rebuilt uc rack to suit my Eh . On disassembly rebuilt may not be the case ?? How would I tell if it has had a new bush put in ?? Bush in passenger end of shaft looks a greeny blue colour and possibly a urethane type ??? Any help much appreciated !!

I believe the original factory bush on the passengers side is Brown.  Some early  aftermarket replacements where clear,

However the urethane  ones are blue, well at least the Noltek brand ones are.

Hi Adam, there is a bloke that was modifying LH,LX, UC racks to suit EH Holden conversions. His name is Phill Hutton,  He was modifying them as they needed the width modified to correctly suit the EH conversion. Last time I contacted him through face book he said he had moved to Perth and is semi retired and doing them at home.

There was a great write up on Phils work in Street Machine October 2005.

Was reading it yesterday.

Could scan it for you if you like.
