Hi all,

Looking for some guidance. My boot lock in my hatchback is jammed. I can insert the key fine but the lock wont rotate?? I have pumped it full of lubricant but haven't had any luck..

Any ideas on next steps to take?

Thanks

Nigel

Fold the seats down and crawl in the back. You can unbolt the hook that the latch connects to from the inside - then work on the lock when the hatch is open.

Sounds like the problem is the lock barrel (3) itself and as Steve said, you have to get the hatch open to work on it, there's no way of unscrewing the retaining plate (5) with it closed.

peel your carpet back and then undo the 2 bolts retaining the striker

open hatch and then you have access to the latch locking strip screws

Thanks all,

I have climbed in and and unbolted the catch now I just have to pull the lock mechanism apart to try and figure out why it still won't turn
