Can I use the wires from the sender units on the oil, water and alternator that go to the original dash lights on a standard wiring loom to wire up the corresponding gauges on the GTR dash. The lights are no longer needed as the GTR dash has a different instrament light feed. Thanks in advance Shayne

Yes & no.

The oil gauge will still use the dark blue wire from the sender. The temp gauge will still use the dark green wire from the sender. Both of these senders will need to be changed to the gauge type (I hope I'm stating the obvious), but the alternator light remains as is. All Holdens, with or without the sports dash always have an alternator light. Instrument lighting will stay the same, it uses a grey wire.

Extra wiring needs to be added for the ammeter & the tacho.

The globe holder for the alternator light is a grey plastic fitting in the rear of the ammeter.

What do you mean by " I think that I just need to change the original screw to round as per the water gauge "

Hi mate the original light fixture is a fit and twist holder ! the plastic fitting for the alt light would accommodate the same round light fitting that is for the 4 small gages I was thinking. Cheers Shayne

Yeah, got you now. The alternator light socket should be the round style, I forgot about that one.
