Hi Guys,

Thought I'd start a thread to document my build.

2/70 LC GTR.

Someone has put a LJ front on.

At a guess mate, old point and shoot cameras aren't smart enough to know you've rotated the camera so you have to rotate it on your computer first and re-save it.

Thanks mate. They are on the computer in the right rotation and if you click on the pics above they turn 90 degrees.

Did LC GTR have a front sway from factory? Or was this just for XU-1?

2nd 70, might have early type clamps on the bar though ! You'll have to find that out.

Better of buying a repro than a 40 year old piece of twisted bar

Guys my LC has been blasted and is in the panel shop. I’ve been tasked with buying replacement rust panels. What company is making the best fitting panels?

Going through a similar thing at the moment, ask your panel beater what parts he wants you to get. That way he can’t complain that what you’ve supplied is no good. The panel shop doing my 4 door is happy with the rares parts, just my wallet isn’t......

If it does have the early type clamps hang them on the shed wall and buy the later type clamps.

Yes the gaurds seem good, but the floor patches ect, you'll probably have to shape to your originals before you go cutting & fitting, try retro rods or whatever they're called on the sunny coast qld, to see if they have what you are after 1st

My favourite way for getting pics ready for posting here is to do them on Facebook first.

They resize them for you.

Then just save them back to your computer for re posting.

When you put them on Facebook you can post them so only you can see them.

Then delete them from Facebook once you have saved the image back to your computer,

Or use Imgur, which will resize them as you upload them, and allow hotlinks. Nice and neato.

Cool GTR. Keeping the triples and shit I hope?

Yes mate keeping the triples. The engine is an early 3100x with a 71 head. Next best thing to a 2600s, maybe better.

The facebook resizing photos thing is a goer.

Shell back for blasting.

Paint has been stripped from the block and had RALLY written under it.

She's obviously had some repairs in the past.
