Hi there, I'm wondering if it's possible to fit 28 spline commie axles into r31 axle housing. Thinking about fitting 2 short vn axles .

The Skyline axles are still unequal length, so it won't be a straight fit. Can't remember the measurements off the top of my head to tell you whether it will fit one side without cutting or not.

Commodore stud pattern is still going to need changing to find some decent wheels anyway.

Not so worried about the stud pattern. Have simmons 3 piece wheels so can make up rims to suit. Just trying to find out if any options for axles without cutting or redrilling or billet.

Found an old thread with some axle lengths here:

From that the Commodore short axle is 20mm shorter than the long R31, and 30mm longer than the short one. Not really close enough to be of any use.

Thanks for that info 76lxhatch . Looks like I'll have to keep thinking. Redrilling skyline axles seems best option.
