Hi, just wondering if anyone knows if you can buy the T piece that clips to the diff tube and feeds the rear brakes.  Tried a few places (local brake shop/Repco/Pirtek) and nothing comes close.  Sad thing is I know I have the piece but do you think I can find it. arrgh!  It's #5 in the pic.  Cheers Ron

Hi Cook.

I don't have one, but if it helps this part has been the same for HD to HG, as well as most Toranas. You might get lucky at the wreckers.

Thanks gents.

Dr Terry, thanks for the heads up, will keep an eye out might just find someone offloading a diff housing that still has it clipped on.

Stuart, yeah I have spoken to them in the past about parts and whilst they are often the only available source, I can't being myself to paying their prices.  There is one on EBay but at $47 delivered I might just have to spend the day in the garage and have a good clean-up.

Cheers Ron

Thanks Jeff but I bit the bullet and bought one from Dinkum Autos in Moorabbin.  Paid a bit more but Chris has been helpful with other stuff so didn't mind.  Cheers Ron

Does it have to be concourse?

Pretty sure most brake shops will have something comparable on the shelf for a couple of bucks.

Didn't need it to be concourse, far from it.  But wanted something that would fit the existing bracket on the diff and couldn't find anything suitable in any of the brake shops, Pirtek etc.  Cheers Ron

Interestingly I found this Corvette (64-70) one on the net.  Didn't get around to ascertaining thread details but looks very similar.  Priced at $US13 but with postage not much different to buying local, if you can find one.  Cheers Ron

I presume they would if the brake lines or diff haven't been removed but you just don't see wrecked Toranas in wreckers any more.  Cheers Ron

Plenty of shit boxs on Facebook. I know not everyone likes to be on there. But unfortunately its become the main platform for buying/selling.

I'm building up a second diff housing at the moment - so also needed to source a new T piece for the rear brake line.

I dropped into my local brake shop (Better Brakes) and picked one up for around 5 bucks... a little different to the original but should still work fine.

Brett, I have no doubt that will work.  I did see that in my travels but didn't want to have to square out the bracket.  Was getting sick of one job creating another 4 tasks. LOL cheers Ron

Funny he was selling one for $10 cheaper and both looked the same.  As per earlier post I got one from a guy that has supplied me with a number of things for my WB ute.  Cheers Ron

These are from fe to hr fbe3b16e60fd080af49608fd2b753859.jpg

There are a couple of 4ways here
But the 3 ways might do the job if not after concourse

Cheers bat

I know what you mean Ron - snowball effect with one thing creating more work! With the new fitting I used above - it did indeed require some very minor filing of the bracket in order to locate it.
