should i be ordering hq bonnet cable rather than the lj one both from rare spares? my current one in the car is LH witht he little car picture on it. confused.

hq knob with no ring on it looks to match the rest of my LJ (headlights, choke etc) knobs, just smooth black no ring.

LJ one has hood and white/silver ring on it?

thanks again any help, 3 versions got me stumped.

Can't see photos, but lj has "hood" to answer your question mate.

Ie that's what you need.

thanks gary and gene

not sure why the pics arent working, i can see ok.

anyway though.....From Rare's website the HQ one has HOOD on plain black knob. The LJ one has HOOD on a black knob with a white/silver ring around like a border.

im guessing plain black like all the other knobs in the car?

thanks agin

Wouldn't the HQ one be somewhat longer than the LJ one? Cheers Ron

Hi

The LJ NASCO accessories brochure shows this one. Can't say that I have ever seen one though.

Cheers

Hi Anthony

What's your point? I was only pointing out what the LJ brochure shows. My car has the round one with the graphic of the car and bonnet raised.

Cheers

Maz, the bracket is a separate item that slides over the cable and casing and up over the thread at the knob end, then fit the nut and lock washer and tighten to retain the bracket in place.

Yes, a Dealer fitted accessory, also available as a Nasco spare part to DIY.

Rares probably figure the volume isn't there to justify making the LC/LJ mtg bracket.
