Hi, I just fitted a new t700 auto with a new converter shop 3000 converter into my torana and was wondering if anyone knew how much oil from dry they take to fill (trans + converter). A couple of google searches some say 8lts including the converter and some say 11lts. I have a lokar dip stick fitted and am not sure weather I trust it's level. So far I have put in 8lts but I figure the converter would tale 2 to 3lts which would leave approx 5lts in the box.
Thanks dave

The Gregory's VS Commy workshop manual says the 4L60-E dry refill is 7.9 litres and a service refill is 4.8 litres.

Just looked at the Ellery's VT-VZ workshop manual.

4L60-E (V6) is 7.9 litres dry refill.

4L65-E (V8) is 10.6 litres dry refill.

Neither the Gregory's or the Ellery's state the torque converter is included in the dry refill however I believe it would be reasonable to assume it is as the converter and the box must be installed as a unit.
