More holes welded up, rear spoiler someone had slotted holes around 20 cent to 50 cent size both sides. Should be maybe 5 cent size. Lots of grinding floor pans , spare wheel well etc.

Going to put a borg warner diff from a Nissan in. Keeping it standard length as going to run the 140mm flares. Started building a diff jig.

So moved to the front end , had 2 to choose from those original lx one which already had HQ brakes, hubs and UC arms, Top wish bone lowered etc. In the end went with the UC one as I wanted the top offset wishbone, better rack mounting and I know it hadn’t been in an accident.

First time a front end had been in the car since both rails changed out. Very happy with the fit, ratchet strap on the back 2 outriggers and it went in and every lined up nicely.

Everything is for mocking up purposes at the moment and will be rebuilt later down the track. Motor and gearbox going in had a few issues going as a unit, the wings on the sump kept catching the crossmember before sitting in and bell houseing hitting tunnel.

This is about were I am currently up to. Motor and box in, need to make gearbox cross member next. Then work on getting a working clutch and extractors to fit and other engine clearance dummy fit things sorted.

So running a factory Holden T5 from a VN SS, but fitted a mustang rear extension housing to move shifter forward. So bought a gearbox mount to match. In the end I didn’t use the mount as it sits to low for my liking. So drilled and tapped housing and fitted the factory Holden mount.

Excellent stuff mate. This is brilliant.

Don't dismiss the importance of your own work just because someone else (me) has made it even harder for themselves. Every car build is a big project that deserves a hell of a lot of respect, and you are doing really nice work here.

I would recommend measuring the bump stop extension you've done to make sure it's enough of an increase... I see that your guards are not cut as aggressively as mine, and I ended up having to make my bump stops (V2.0) quite a bit taller for them to actually work. Unfortunately, it's a prick of a thing to measure unless the car is actually sitting on the diff with wheels installed.

I hope to have the rear axle stud change done soon to get it sitting in the ground. Will then be able to sort clearance for wheels (hopefully good) diff pinion angle, drive shaft length and exhaust. Still along list to do before pulling apart again for paint.
