A bit of trivia (or useless info)............ I just noticed that the tie rod end adjusting nuts (LC/LJ) are the exactly the same size/thread nut as the steering wheel retaining nut.............

GM - H did not re-invent the wheel every time they needed a part,  some parts were standard across multiple platforms and models for decades.

I always wanted to get my hands on an SP Catalog - (Standard Parts) just to see alternate suppliers, especially bolts/nuts/washers/spring washers, etc.

Not useless at all. I needed to find another steering wheel nut soon which I don't have but have plenty of old racks laying around. Thanks!

I'm after the original screws that screw this latch to the body ,and wondering if the same type are used elsewhere in the car?
