Stumbled across this one a few days ago, looks like it has been there for a long time. It is some sort of 2 door coupe (I am guessing Japanese) as it has 4 wheel disc brakes, front & rear coil panhard rod suspension, thermo engine fan. Any ideas ?

It must have been burnt a couple of times to have deteriorated that much. Is that a Bosch alternator?

It is some sort of 2 door coupe

Check the glove box for an A9-X sticker, if you find one throw the whole thing on ebay, start at $200k

Alloy alternator seams odd for an old vintage car.

It's not old. I'd say early seventies. Nearly everything built after that would have a Denso or other Japanese alternator on it.

It's not an RA22 Celica is it?

Well done Garth you have solved the mystery. The additional pic I have added of whats left of the rear bumper & insert for blinker looks the same as the Cosmo.

Thinking about how hot brakes get in service...reckon those rotors would still be good? ( assuming it's been torched)

Well it is in some countries but yes, you're right - RX5 in aus (I just copied wikipedia :P ).

I knew that engine was Mazda straight away, circular mount brackets, block-gbox braces, oil filter under the alt... Had a few RX's, 808's etc in the past.
