Hi , have looked on Google , can't seem to find any reference for auto

Pulled it off a 202 yesterday, any help appreciated , thx wazza

WB Holden:


FU 202 (3.3L) 6 Cyl with all diff ratios except 4.44:1
FV 202 (3.3L) 6 Cyl with diff ratio of 4.44:1
FX 253 (4.2L) V8
FW 202 (3.3) 6 Cyl with 4.44 diff and T-Bar Floor Shift

VB Commodore (Series 3 Trimatics):


FO 202 (3.3L) 6 Cyl
KO 253 (4.2L) V8

VC Commodore:


FS 202 (3.3L) 6 Cyl
FR 253 (4.2L) 8 Cyl

VH Commodore:


FY 1900cc 4 Cyl
LL 173 (2.8L) 6 Cyl

what about the letter A

was this either floor shift or column ? or both ?

what about the letter A

 

Not sure about the "A", could be a revision or a gear ratio set, or maybe specify the torque converter, but that's only a guess?

 

was this either floor shift or column ? or both ?

 

Can't quite see from the photos but I'm pretty sure if the selector shaft is on the left (passenger's side) it would've been a floor shift or if on the right it would've been a column shift.

 

If it was still bolted up to it's original engine, the engine number and date stamp would be easier to pin down to a specific date. I don't have enough Trimatic serial numbers listed to be that accurate (and I don't think there were date codes on autos like there were on manuals).

The "A" is the calibration code, it should be marked as CAL. above the A

CAL is A
Calibration code, any ideas any one ?
