Dear Torana friends,

Its all about to find out in what historic classes my Torana can race.

FIA HTP  for example is the most strict group here you can apply for.

Thats why i need as much as possible information what was the latest possible upgrade at the cars at this time. After 1979 ?

For example, i know that a A9X of Brock had front brake calipers from HARROP in 4 piston/alloy. But how was the rear? Are they pictures exist?

Was there another group than Group C after 1979 with more open rules?

Im hunting for the latest possible performance at those times.

Uwe

You don't want 1980 for A9X as they had to run drum brakes on the back so they wouldn't out brake the newer VB Commodore

Yes the 79 cars ran 4 wheel 4 piston disc brakes... I'll try find you some pics.

The rears were generally an AP 4 piston caliper with a 292 (ish)mm solid discs

Fronts varied depending on the racer...some Harrop , some AP.

The homologation info is available from CAMS (australian motorsport)
Its a price on application as the different cars have different amount of paperwork.

https://www.apracing....3mm_bores.aspx

This is the style now remade by AP , not cheap though . Easily adapted with flange welded onto axle tube and drill hole in each caliper ear , bolt on .

Same style was used as front and rear by some teams

Not everyone had access to Harrop

Smaller pistons on the rear though
