Hi all. I'm trying to piece together a heater for my LX and am missing the piece of duct that directs the demistsr air onto the windscreen. Does any one have a clear picture of this part so I know what I'm looking for. Thanks.

Thanks Cameron, but I've got those pieces. There must be another piece that sits up under the dash these go into.

Assuming you mean No. 1 in the diagram...

It's simply called "DUCT ASSY - Demist" part # 2824669 (one size fits all), no idea if it would be available in reproduction but I'm sure someone will have one kicking around if you can't find it?

It's affixed with 3 special clips, wingnuts & bolts that have a dome head and need to be painted the same colour as the top of the dash.

Yes, number 1 there Bigfella. Thanks.
I'm looking for this part and the mounting hardware if anyone can help. Would need to be sent to New Zealand ideally or possibly Melbourne.

I think your best bet would be finding someone or some place that is wrecking one out

That dash duct assembly is NA as a replica part so w/o wrecking is the only option. It's a one-size-fits-all LH LX toranas so someone wrecking one might have one.

Quite possibly, if it hasnt been squashed and used as fuel for a billy tea fire. Probably not a cheap exercise to send an item this size over to NZ though.

Just FYI, UC Toranas are not the same in this area.

I don't have any spares left, sorry. You will need the long plastic piece in good condition, and three little coach bolts with wing nuts that secure it up against the frame of the dash. Surely you can still find an LH/LX or two being parted out in NZ? Not a super sought after part - there won't be any demand for reproductions I reckon. Like with a lot of the high quality plastic components in Toranas, the only time you'd need one is if someone has lost the original.
