Hi There

I'm in the process of rebuilding my LH, I want to replace the front upper and lower control arms as well as the rear trailing arms. Does anyone know where I can get aftermarket from ? - Would prefer tube, high quality etc...

Cheers

There are a few options, but I don't know how much any of them improve things. Please read and consider the information in the first two links before you jump in with your wallet.

For the rear end I have Edelbrock aluminium upper arms (I am pretty sure QA1 own this style now) from a 68 Camaro. I had Spohn racing in the US make me a custom set of chromoly lower rear arms - They are very nicely done. I don't remember them being cheap though but are nice and light and strong. You can do the bushing in poly or rod end as the ends interchange. I haven't seen anyone do direct replacement tubular arms for the front end for many years since Tubular Suspension Systems stopped doing them. It would be good if someone did though. I have only seen the ones where you have to change the entire front end.

These are identical to my lower trailing arms except the Torana ones are longer than the Chevelle ones, everything else is identical.

These are the Upper trailing arms.

I have the part number here for the uppers if you need it, I believe the box is still in my shed.

I have used these Del sphere joints everywhere in the back and when I take my diff out soon, I'm swapping the top diff bushes back to rubber.

I'd like to know the part number for the adjustable uppers. I may need to make a correction to the pinion angle.

Found this alternative, as I am also looking for stronger rear control arms. https://pmtfabricati...l-trailing-arms

The choice you make is really dependant on what you want to use the car for.
for street duties and bit of strip, most of the aftermarket stuff is ok
For track, they are average at best.
Most are still using bushes that bind up in movement but when you go to a rose joint its too hard for street cruising.

The problem is not just the arms, where they connect to on the cars are weak and the torana chassis flexes.

I have had two of the mounts (bottom arms) tear out of the floor over the years. For serious horsepower I would recommend reinforcing around them.
