We got tired of trying to fit the headers one at a time with the engine still in the car so dropped the K-Frame which made life a lot easier.

Engine bay had been in primer during the test fit and while we put the headers back on, in the past 2 weeks we prepped it and painted. There are a couple of bits where the prep could have been better especially on the firewall but it's something I'll know for next time, regardless still looks good right off the gun before clear.

As it stands now.

Thanks Danny, It's getting closer I'm itching to see it move under its own power that's for sure.

That would look great with a set of 4 twin port injector stacks poking up into the bonnet scoop.

Great work.

Enjoying reading your build.

Hi Martin    Bit off track but wondering what type of rubber boot you have on that short throw shifter and where did you get it.  Thanks mate Dale

Thanks Martin I have ordered one.

No worries mate, glad to help.

I'm organising a few things here and there like air filters, radiator hoses etc and have an auto electrician coming out to do a quote tomorrow.

Has anyone that's done this conversion had any experience with the Moroso 20142 sump and had any issues with the dipstick? Also related do the LS engines differ where the oil dipstick goes in, so either through the engine into the sump or directly into the sump?

Cheers,

Martin

Thanks Jonesy! It's my mates roll over car he built running a worked RB30. Haven't seen it in action but looks like it'd be a bit of fun.
