The slot in the UC coffee pot is bigger and in a different place to suit the combo-switch too if memory serves, I recall trying to file-out an LX coffee pot to suit, but the combo-switch didn't cover the whole hole left from the LX and it looked a but daggy so we ended up finding and painting a UC coffee pot instead.
I can't remember if the early Commodore coffee pot will fit a Torana column, but if it did, that would give you a hazard lights switch as well?
The intermittent wiper switch is a separate thing altogether, it supplies power to the wiper motor itself so operates independently of the main wiper switch.
I've fitted an aftermarket rotary intermittent switch before and from memory we put it in the hole where the factory wiper switch was (in the dash), but I don't recall what brand as it was a few decades ago now. Then just follow the instructions to wire it up.
