Hey guys, pulling my TH350 out shortly as it has a few leaks so want to put a kit through it. Found a supplier but he has two kits one for 1968-80 and the other for 1980+ so just wondering if anyone knows how to confirm what year mine box is?

Looks like a couple of parts differ

I think 80-86 was lock up style

Speedo o'ring

bush kit

pump... due to different sized gears 18.3mm early ... 21.65mm late

input shaft

valve body

But a normal GSR kit probably comes with all the rubber parts to do both... its the hard parts that differ

But will check for sure Monday

The link says the later one has a removable bell housing but the early one doesn't? That would mean less gaskets surely at least?

OK... basically.... its got lock up or doesn't

Most TH350's will be non lock up

If its got any wires going to it... besides the yibbada switch... its lock up

Non lock up is pre 80

A TH350 with a lock-up clutch is called a TH350C.
