Somebody please help!
I’m going mad trying to find out what the dash piece between the upper pad and the windscreen is called??

Upper dash pad is what I'd call it,

I've also seen windscreen vent panel on the more modern cars; I'm sure someone here will know the technical term.

 

If I were to describe it over the phone I'd say the part you'd put a dash mat on, lol.

It is listed as "Panel Assy - Instrument" in the LH Torana Parts Catalogue

Which may not sound right, but when you remove a UC dash and gauges to replace it with an LH/LX one, the sheet metal that you have circled comes out with it.
