Whoa. I am usually fairly well informed about the car industry in Australia but I never saw that coming. Lets hope they go to the trouble of making a road going one.

Great to see an Australian built car to show off our talent.

How can they not make a road version. They would walk out the door.

To meet homologation racing they would have to do a road version. I think it will happen as their are plenty of cash loaded hypercar buyers who love exclusive rare low build cars. LeMans looks to be a big goal for the brand.

Its all interesting for a Bespoke industry to bloom in Australia.

And why is it left hand drive?

It would be because the LHD market dominates the world and that's where 95% of demand will come from. The world RHD market is tiny and insignificant for manufacturers. Have to remember that with only 65m in the UK it is the biggest RHD market manufacturers have.

Being in track only form as can be seen it wouldn't meet road regulations. But as seen with Aston Martins track only Vulcan its not impossible to re-engineer such a track car for road use. Obviously some countries are harder than others so you may never see it happen in a place like Australia. We are a nanny nation run by rules and regulation that prohibits anything beyond those rules.

Personally, now that our car industry has gone I think we should switch over & drive on the other side; it would open the floodgates to such a large range of cars we could import.

Cheaper answer to staying Australian (as long as you don't mind s/h)

ImageNotAvailable.jpg

Note not as fast as the BT62.

But at the bargain of only $400k you have money to upgrade the performance. :o
