Hi all. I have an LX 4 door which was stripped of paint a few years ago, then stored in a shed. It now has surface rust over pretty much the entire surface.

I want to treat the rust so that it won't return before getting an etch primer on it.

I've have some "Rust-oleum Rust Dissolver" I bought from the automotive paint shop. But I've also looked at the "POR Metal Ready" which leaves a zinc phosphate coating.

So i'd like to know which is best or to confuse me even more, if there is a better product out there and the best process to get it to primer.

 and eventually top coat.

Also if anyone has a long term experience with a similar situation and no rust returning?

Cheers, Wayne

Ok. So i've also found another to throw into the mix, "KBS Rustblast and Aquaklean" which sounds pretty good.

But thats all, I'm gettin a headache just thinking about it!
