Hey Forum Friends,

Was thinking this morning :), Yes it happens every now and then.

Do you think getting the 5.0ltr Bage on the back of my car as Ok or Not ?

Was a 6cly, Now runs (Not Really) will soon a 5.0 ltr.

Should I also place the SS sticker on the back ?

I know its up to me but just wondering the general consensus.

Off to work in 1 min and not home til 7 FFS. Looking fwd to hearing from fellow members (IF) there are any replies.

Mate it's your car you do what you like.

No difference to people putting flares on their cars. Majority of people seem to like putting flares and spoilers on their Torana's.

G'Day Rainman,

So, is your car going to be a replica or a custom job?

5.0ltr badge and the "SS" for a replica I guess.

If it's custom you could maybe do custom badges just to be a little bit different to everyone else or no badges at all to keep people guessing  ;)

Cheers,

Liz :)

My preference would be to not drill holes in panels so make them stick on even for badges, then you can remove later if you change your mind.

Me being me I would put the biggest V8 and the quietist zorst on it with no badges, but I am an introvert some people reckon.

I agree with Liz.  If doing a replica by all means put them on but otherwise your call, but I would go no badges.  Cheers Ron

Thanks for the feedback all, so it will be a no badger :). Not sure what replica was referring to ? If referring SS :), it is an original SS. No sticker or Badge. The number plates tell the originality of the vehicle.   76LXSS    :), Thanks again for helping make up my mind.  Rainman

Ah, yes. I did go off on my own little tangent there with the use of the word replica...not sure where I got that from :)...had a very slow day at work today so maybe I was only half awake?

Cheers,

Liz :)

lol that's funny Dave, plus 1 more like .

Hey Liz, its sort of a replica :). Left the factory with a 202.

Back when I first had the interior done there was no Houndstooth I think its called. So chose a black golf ball material. Then at the last minute I decided to get the SS in the centre of the seats.

Never did like it. There taking the fabric section out and replacing with the remade Houndstooth.

Cant say its great looking material. David Jones or Myers looking

Yep, I'm with you on the Houndstooth material. Sometimes I like it, other times not so much...orange houndstooth in an orange car is a sight to behold ;)

Cheers,

Liz :)

Put 1900 badges on it.

Back in the day a mate had an LH which he fitted with a warm 308.

Had stockish rims and tyres, and a puny tailpipe sticking out the back.

But had a nice exhaust dumped behind the diff.

Would have been nice to have had technology like mobile phones back then to video the expressions on the drivers and passengers in the cars that got beaten at the lights.
