g'day all 

would like to check if my cross member is not bent 

the work shop manual only shows the 4 cyl one 

so checking for square is not a problem but all the other measurments are 

can any one help

What are the signs that makes you think it is bent

i have 1 here that has a badly cracked trailing arm 

the top wish bones had 20-25 mm of shimes in them 

i can repair it no probs but would like some measurements

Can't you use the measurement points of the chassis ,to check if the crossmember is properly aligned?

yes boys 

i have checked all i can by those measurements 

but to my way of thinking the 2 top shocky holes are the ones that should be right 

so can anyone help with that measurement

Id just put the front kframe back on the front and
weld up the lower arm..thats very common they crack
there specially if it has had a v8 up the front.
Mines cracked and so was my brothers.it will b fine.

Ive even heard of guys on fakebook that cant get there
kframes back in there lh-lx and have used ratchet
straps to get the back arm between the rails..

i understand , i have not got an issue with those parts 

the part i am concerned about is the shimes on the top wish bone 

25mm each side that is why i am after the measurement between the top shocky holes

Yeah ive got about that on uca.

Agree, I've got close to an 1" of shims on the upper arms to get around 1.5 deg of neg camber.

One is on the car and difficult to measure, the other one is 787mm between hole centres.

and 2 others suppose to be straight 

all 3 are 787 mm :o  B)  :banghead:
