There is a factory 72 Bath for sale and the owner/seller states the following

Rear inner panels have factory genuine ( 72 bathurst specific )- extra pair of internal captive nuts for standard seat belt mounting and roll cage mounting point.

So what is he talking about and fact or fiction????

any help or comment appreciated.

The front upper seat belt mounts on all 2 dr LJ's were relocated 8" rearwards of the original mounts on the inner rear quarters. It was due to an ADR update. Absolutely nothing to do with it being a Bathurst XU1 or roll cages.

For a period of time GMH produced 4cyl & 6cyl 2dr LJ's with both mounting positions.

Hi

There is also anecdotal evidence of a car that had one anchor point on one side and two on the other.

Cheers
