A bit of topic, as it for an FC Holden ute. But I would assume that although there are some major differences, mainly to upgrade of steering and suspensions etc, quality of parts and advice would be the same. Who has replaced a Holden red with a Holden  V6, who would you recommended for parts/advice, what pitfalls to look out for and have you been happy with the swap? I did find one thread here on the subject but not much info. Ps Would I like to go V8 same work etc, yes but no way will it happen with licensing in WA so thats out of the question. thanks in advance

Cheers Dave

Hi Dave.. there is a place in country NSW that does old Holdens to V6. I think they sell conversion bits and wiring looms etc as well.

There are quite a few of these conversions with lots of pics on the FE FC club forum, that would be a good source of info for anyone going this way.

There's a few about... plus a few V8 ones

Blacky is a man worth speaking to ... I'm sure you'll come across him if your not sure who I mean

Tim @ Manta performance has a stupercharged V6 in an EH ... has had many issues... but thats usually from trying to cheap out on stiff... but love it now its working well

Never liked the V6 though myself... I'm sure theres better engines to choose from
