Simple question.. hopefully easy to answer..

What diameter wheels were the L34 and A9X cars wearing in race trim?

Up until CAMS amended the rules in 1978, they could run different diameters front and back. HDT and West Racing were two teams that I know of to have 15s on the back and 14s on the front.

HDT had 18 sets of these rims made up by CAC. This first lot were all 14s.

I'm not sure when exactly, but he got a few sets of 15s made up at a later date.

The A9X four door was still wearing 14s on the front in Feb 1978

Bathurst '77 saw them running 14s all round on the O'brien - Harrop car. Maybe trying them out with the 2.6 diff.

As far as width is concerned I believe some L34s ran 9 1/4" on the front and 10" on the rear.
