HI all,

Apologies if this sort of thing has been posted before.

I'm wondering if there's a guide hidden somewhere on this forum that gives a guide as to what specifications the the A9X sedan and/or hatch was built to?

I've found there are so many replicas and even rebuilt originals that are not true to the factory for what ever reasons.

I'm looking to build one as close as possible to the same specs. Looking for answers to simple things such as "were the blackouts satin or gloss?" Rim and tyre size, drop tank or no drop tank, silver decal on the rear spoiler or black, black door handles or chrome, engine bay colour or black. And, did this vary depending on the build date.

They're just a few of the questions I have :)

Thanks in advance.

I'll answer what i hope i can & the a9x gurus, can jump in & correct if needed.

Blackouts = satin (sedan & hatch vary mask off points around the bonnet ect.

Rims 14" x 6" "similar" to gm rallies (monaro ect) although a different colour to early monaro wheels !

No drop tank.

Black door handles.

Rear spoiler stencil colour depending on actual vehicle colour basically, so black or silver.

Colour coded engine bay. Red painted 308.

Sorry to be a bit blunt but if your asking questions like drop tank or no drop tank then you may need to do a bit more reading. There are some great books out there and most of what you want to know has been printed a hundred times. Norm Darwins book Torana Tough is probably a good start. Also Get issue 35 of Australian Muscle Car magazine as it also has some good info in it. Other than that a week reading posts on this forum will answer a lot.
