Rear arms as in the ones that go from the front end to the chassis rails? Mine look alright, I'll have a better look tomorrow.

After a bit of reading around, I went to redrill the UCA mount holes lower, as per XU-1's, and thought that there wasn't enough meat left... So instead I made up some little reinforcements and welded them in, and I'll redrill the holes tomorrow. Probably should've done this BEFORE paint, but it won't be hard to touch up afterwards.

the distance is 5/8 of an inch centre to centre (original hole to new hole) and there is enough metal

Yeah, I know there's enough metal there... But I went down another mm to leave more meat between the holes.

Got the holes drilled today, and started to get some bushes etc in. Finish it tomorrow I reckon :spoton:

Not much as yet, got my front end finished, haven't got around to bolting it in yet though...

Since my last update I've changed careers, bought a house and had a kid, though, so the LJ hasn't been at the top of my priorities...

Cheers John! Just looking back through this thread is pretty crazy, kind of a snapshot of my life for the past 7 or so years...

Should be working on the LJ today, instead I'm putting the new carby'd 304 into my track car :) :burnout:

Been 3 years since I was on here..

Good to see your tory is painted. I painted mine 3 weeks ago!!

When mine is driving in about 600 years I'll come over to cowell for a cruise!

Cheers

A long time between posts in here... I've since had another kid, swapped jobs again, and built a shed in the back yard of my house :D

Torana is coming home in the next couple of weeks!

Cheers Tim, your post makes me feel a little better about not making any progress for the last 12 months.  Sometimes shit gets in the way.  Look forward to seeing you fill the new shed.

There's plenty of projects here and elsewhere that haven't been touched for a lot more than 12 months mate!

It's better to put something on the backburner while you're busy with other things, than it is to rush/take shortcuts/buy cheap shit because you don't have available time or funds. Do it once(ish), do it right. Eventually all the pieces will line up, and you'll have motivation to get stuck in again :D

I'm still here, the car is still in one piece.

Just bought a house with a shed in Adelaide, I'm going to make a particular effort to actually finish this thing this year.

It's registerable and driveable now, but it's still back home. I'll get the new motor and gearbox in it and get it up here to Adelaide before summer.

New motor and gearbox is in, and before summer!

I never said what summer...

It's in Adelaide and things are happening.
