I dont know if its just me but I have found myself leaving a few of the Bookface Torana sites lately. I think I must be getting old and grumpy but some of the crap on them now is getting just plain weird. What the hell is this "Shut the F*&kn Gate" crap and people putting up pictures of cars with writing all over them ??

 

Oh well I need to get off the social media anyhow and get back to tinkering in the shed!!

Yeah I just hide the posts with the stupid gate stuff. What ever the joke was, it might have been funny 3 weeks ago when it was originally posted. But daily? Its pretty dumb.

Modern society seems to think that using 4 letter words as adjectives is the "norm"

 

Yes I do use some of those 4 letter words but not around women or kids, not out in the public and certainly not on the internet

 

Maybe because they cannot think of better descriptive adjectives that they use the "F" bomb in every sentence

Not sure what this open gate bullshit is all about as I'm not on facebook, but i do know that when my gate is left open and my dog pisses off down the street its a pain in the ass to catch him and carry back home

Some of the facey stuff is okay.

Each to their own.

I spend more time here now keeping away from the idiots on Facebook.

But some of the facey sites have been good at showing how stupid most Torana lovers are. Or perhaps they are just the wannabees.

Love it when some dodgy information starts being thrown around, and what entitles you to be an expert on the subject.

At one pont it seemed if your dad drove a truck that transported the stuff, that entitled you to instant expert status.

Doesnt seem to matter how many times they are told, that this forum has great info unless they see it on facebook it must be crap.

I'm old but am on a couple of Torana facebook sites because I think it keeps me in the loop with prices of parts and values, and there are a couple of people that actually know their stuff. I've learnt to be fearful of the data collectors, got to watch out for them as they come across as super interested in your car but are fishing for data (details on your car) for whatever reason.

I know "Torana" is a type of gate in Hindu, maybe something related to that? Still makes no sense though...

I wanted to comment a few weeks ago when that imbecile was going off at you for explaining that the Torana Whisper page was better off without the swearing Barry, but I didn't think that any amount of decency or common sense was going to get through his thick skull.
