It may not look rough but has had more punches around the ring than Jeff Fenech.

Dent i talked about from the snow. Tried to get it out but thought it best and easiest to v=cut it out and straighten it off the car. Right decision i think; got it near perfect.

Sill DS; some tin worm I cut out and an old repair. Good a place as any to also state it has the usual rust around the wiper cowl; PS sill etc etc just so you won't think I'm spoiled :D

Can see the bend in rail towards the shed wall; dodgy bro's repairs. Did it work? No! Almost pulled the shed down; I had to put a small cut in with a disc and boing snapped back straight. Shoulda just done that from the start but live and learn.

Boot work and removal; fitting a drop tank and then rust, the old dodge repair on the left hand side and mini tubs so decided it was just easier to remove the entire boot floor and will fab a new one.

Oh, and since no wheel will fit in the spare wheel well i decided to also delete that. Also gives a clean balance to the boot as i DO have a touch of OCD unfortunately. Momma always sed I wuz speshel!

Last pic - shaping the tubs.

Damn that was a lot of work. Hope you enjoy and feel my pain!

I have 2 FJ ute's waiting in worse condition - if i live that long.

I pulled the remaining boot floor off the rails today; will hopefully have the remainder where the diff hump (if that's what it's called) off tomorrow.

Cheers, Mark.

Cheers mate; dismantling is the easy bit ;)

Get stuck into it. More Torries on the road the better. :driving:

Got the rest of the boot floor cut out today; ordered a new floor $45.00 cut to fit (obviously I'll have to do some mods but wont be too much). They'll even step it up for me to give clearance for the diff. BARGAIN!!!

Fitting mini tubs is hard; even the pre fabbed McDonald Bros ones. Bloody twisty windy chassis. If the rails were straight I'd be finished.

Making good use of cardboard templates and clamps. Hopefully have one side ready to weld up tomorrow.

Boot floor will be ready to pick up wed.

Cleco's arrived; good bit of kit got tomorrow off so plan to use em.

Here's an interesting pic of a 4cyl lc from overseas.

I am posting it because I have considered almost exactly the same bonnet scoops and full length chin spoiler.

Adding to that I also want to fab a custom grill and boot spoiler.

I will also be hitting you lot up for some ideas on striping. I really like the LC GTR stripes but mine's an LJ so might be  abit how ya goin. + I am thinking something that possibly extends back a bit further and maybe flares out a bit more ala E49 Charger (but not exactly of course).

I will be putting XU-2 stickers on it (most prob) and possibly GTR badges (but maybe not ha ha).

So fire away; i'd appreciate comments.

I dislike the flares on this one so will not be going flares.

Yeah that's why I am really glad to have an S. Love to see pics when finished of what you settle on stripe wise.

Been welding up pinholes; making small patch panels, shaped the boot floor to fit and just ordered $2400 worth of panels. Need some of these bits before i weld the floor and tubs in. Plenty of other stuff to keep me going though. Still at it. :D

Been welding and grinding but time is the biggest problem. Replacing the passenger rear 1/4 this weekend,

Got all my panels delivered last week; they look good. One guard is on back order though.

Still at it; will post some pics up this weekend.
