Thanks Campbell, greatly appreciated.  I don't recall seeing these in my travels but hopefully they will turn up.  Cheers Ron

Campbell, hoping you can answer a couple more questions:

I presume the clip clips over the cloth sleeve on the rod

Do you know what the screw (presumably) looks like that fixes it to the inner door?

Cheers Ron

Just pushes into the hole in the inner door panel by the looks of it. Sort of like a fuel & brake line clip into the chassis rail I reckon.

Thanks Dave, hadn't thought of that.  I did wonder why it wasn't shown in the parts catalogue. Maybe one less thing I have to find. LOL.  Cheers Ron

Yes Dave is correct Ron.
The dome part with the split in it just pushes into hole in the door.
Not sure about where rag piece is supposed to be located, or its purpose. Maybe another anti rattle device??
Mine is further back down the rod near the latch.

Thanks Campbell.  My cloth sleeves do have a spot of rust on them which made me think that they may have originally been under the clip but who knows.  My thinking is that if they were, then when the mechanism is triggered the rod sliding through the clip wouldn't squeak. Cheers Ron

You might be onto something there Ron.
Makes sense.
