Hi,
I have to replace the cable that operates the hot/cold flap on my LC and was wondering if someone had the measurement of it so I could fabricate a new one.
I managed to throw out the original so I can't use that unfortunately.

Cheers
Paul

Buy a roll of thicker gauge piano wire and make it fit. The original wire bends like a banana.
Measure the ID of the outer and pick the biggest wire that fits.
There is a heater mod post around somewhere.

Thanks Tony, you read my mind for the cable. Is it hard to source and fabricate the piano wire?

I have already done the mod to the heater box and it amazing the change in tension to operate the flap.

Purchased from eBay from memory.
Fabricated using a jig made of wood.
A couple of strategically placed screws to wrap the eye around, some pliers......some trial and error.........didn’t take long

Thanks Maz, I found a thread that showed how he fabricated the ends but it didn't have a measurement of the cable.

I did have one to copy, but I think you could start at one end, fit the wire to the controls and then route the cable.
Then finish the heater end of the wire based on the length needed.
