Hi all, I'm wondering if anyone has a genuine lc GTR rim, that they could photograph & post, preferably in the sun, I'm looking to see if the backside & where the tyre goes is black & if the front side only is the speckled effect. I'm obviously wanting to see 1 with original paint still, i have to do a set for a friend not to far away & we want to get them correct,thanks, Gary.

All of the original rims that I have seen are black on the inside.

 

They are painted quite roughly. They must come from the wheel manufacturer finished in a basic black primer & GM-H then just spray the outside in the silver speckled finish at the assembly plant. The inside of the rim usually has several silver paints runs on the inside running from the oval holes.

Does anyone know when the lc gtr rims stopped being painted in a speckled finish on an Adelaide car ? Gary.
