i have been advised by my engineer to fit a rubber bump stop just above the diff centre

I have a 9 inch in a LX Hatch, and was wondering where it should mounted

You can't use the standard point either side on the axle tubes?

There isn't really anywhere for the snubber other than the factory location. You will likely need to trim the rubber down a fair bit to accommodate the larger diff.

The standard Torana one is perfect, try and find a shell that has one, Sunbirds came with them standard. I have the genuine GMH one and its in the right position for my 9 inch.
