Looking at a 2.5" stainless exhaust options

LX sedan with a 355 ... round the 520 mark (hoping as yet to run it)

Not trying to reinvent the wheel, so throwing it out there as to what others have used

What is the best crossover

Muffler options

All coming of Pacemaker extractors that are fitted already

Will be running over the diff

Being where i am also looking at getting one fab'd from scratch so one of those kits is also on the cards

If there is a mob that prefabs these that are putting out a good product i would be willing to go that path as well

Cheers

It'll be a 10 bolt, I reckon.

Howdy Dave.

From memory, it was nearly 10 years ago, the biggest zorst I could get over the 9" diff was 2 1/4. Not sure what difference the 10 bolt will make, can also get tight around wide wheels & the drop tank. I preffered to go over the diff than 2.5 under the diff, not a fan of under the diff.

My car originally had no x pipe, Bob Campbell fitted 1 when he was chasing an odd offbeat misfire sound from the exhaust, made no noticeable power increase that we could feel when driving it.

I'd get 1 bent up locally if there's someone up there capable of doing it as no 2 cars will be the same in regards to wheels, drop tank & so on.

Old Col at Colray Exhaust down here made the system, used super flow mufflers. They were pretty loud, also changed note when mufflers were turned around, that's how I fixed the funny offbeat sound we could hear. Turned 1 muffler around & the both sides sounded the same then.

It was also droney, so I ended up putting a couple of hotdogs right after the extractors, which fixed the drone. Probably made it a bit quiet, but better that then a drone.

Good luck with that Dave. Everyone has a quality product until it's time to make it fit...

Hi Shane

The problem i have is i am 1600 k north of Perth so a special run down that way would add another 1200 dollars to the cost

So i'm sort of stck between a rock and a hard place

Car was P/ Painted in Waroona so have already been through the drama

Dave, MCE Motorsport in Wangara might be worth a phone call, I know they generally build systems whilst car is there but they have a computer controlled bender so most likely have the patterns saved.

I lived in Tom Price for years so I know your pain.

Mine is 2 1/2 under diff 9 inch.

I had the exhaust shop put some bolt up but joints just after the muffler so when I jack the car up from the body all I do is undo the rear section of exhaust and then let the diff hang.

Never scraps and avoids a lot of bends and possible pinch points when you go over bumps.
