Does anyone know how many Royal Purple XU1s were produced in the September 72 production run. I am still trying to narrow down the PSN number for my car it is down to 3 possibles. The car was built on the 7th September 72 and has the self locating Sprintmasters engine number JP216796.

Any ideas of how to confirm the PSN would be welcome.

Hi Steve

Have you checked with your motor registration authorities? I have a copy of a "Land Transport Safety -Transport Registry Centre - Certificate of Registration" relating to a CK XU-1 and it clearly states the 82911CH21xxxx VIN as well as all the owners since 1971 (I wish we could get the same info here is Oz).

Different pretty Royal Plum is LX colour

I did an FOI request to our WA DoT for my LJ & got back a registration history, minus names, but only from 1984 onwards as records

aren't available pre that. I didnt bother with my HQ as I've owned that since 1983.
