Today I sit here saddened by the passing of my dog and best mate Woof.

One day while talking to friends in front of the Torrie, he got jealous and jumped on the bonnet. There are still scratches atm.

I miss him and would give this car away to spend another 15 plus years with him.

Life is not about material things.

Its time with your family.

Know how you feel mate.

Our ratbag of a staffie Buzz passed away in September,he was 17yrs old yet still acted like a puppy.

House doesn't feel the same without him or partnerin crime  Coco who passed 3 years ago.

Thanks Guys, I was sitting at home alone, felt like I had to tell someone.

Its not really a topic to post, but you are all my GMH family.

I feel better today, I know he lived a long life. I couldn't ask for a better.

His mind was not affected, his body was old and needed rest.

Everyone loved him, He loved Everyone.

RIP

D.B.Woofa

His real name is Dads.

Dads Boy Woofa.

Cheers to all my GMH family

Ray

I am sorry for your loss rainman. My beagle Riley had to go to sleep at 13 years of age due to sickness. I understand your sorrow.

Sad news Ray.
We have a 9 y.o. Shepard..he is getting slower by the day.
I'll be in your position in a year or so,I reckon. ..not looking forward to it at all. Horrible stuff.
All the best mate.

Thanks Guys, I was so prepared. I thought I would be fine. I had taken him five weeks earlier as it broke my heart watching him struggle. As we drove to the vets, my mate had his head out the window. I could tell his mind wasn't affected. My little puppy was inside a old body. He was a very special mate. When we went for walks, he knew the rules. I could walk him any where without a lead. But if he seen a little kids, he couldn't help himself. He would have to give them a kiss. When we were at home there were no rules. Just be a dog. When friends were over and they told my dog to sit for a bone ect, I would tell them he doesn't need to do tricks for a bit of tucker. He knows the rules when he leaves the front door. I asked how they would feel going out for dinner and the waiter would ask them to sit before he placed there food on the table. We were soul mates and will be forever. I am at peace with laying my mate to rest. I feel lucky to have had such a long time with him. I feel sorry for the likes of Ice, having to lose a mate so early. I thank you all for your kind words. Its great to have my GMH family. Ray

Really nicely written Ray, glad you have great memories of his time on earth and enjoyed such a great friendship.

Have felt that loss before and am sorry for you and hope you are ok, Woof will be thankful and happy he was such a part of you and such a big affect on you and obviously well loved by you, Dogs are one of the best parts of life as far as I am concerned
