Hi all, I have a 350 sbc stroked to 383. What would be a good limit to set the revs to using the MSD digital 6AL?

TIA

Got any more build data or preferably a dyno sheet showing the power curve?

Rev limits are dictated by power curves, no use reving to 7000 if it drops off the curve at 6.

The reason I ask is I have been led to believe my flexplate has come loose due to over revving so I am going to take out the MSD 6A and put in an MSD 6AL and wasn't sure what to set the limiter to. I have been told 6000rpm.

Thats seems pretty odd thing to be told. I always like using a bit of loctite on the bolts, gives me a bit of peice of mind. I also use ARP fasteners on my own cars.

Rev limit probably more depends on how the engine has been built and also where it makes the power. The sizing of wrist pins and rods/rod bolts can be limiting factors as will how well it's balanced. The more revs you use, the faster things like bearings will wear out.
