What exactly is the prepsol test?

Hey mate prepsol test is to cover the whole panel in it which replicates how it will look once painted and buffed to a nice shine that way you get to see how straight it is any ripples ect

Also works best if you spray it on with a garden variety pump spray bottle, couple of bucks from bunnings and works an absolute treat

Those Panel gaps are looking fantastic by the way, I've heard coupe doors can be tricky as they droop due to being so long

That looks great. You have to love laying on the jam in the shed. I’m a bit of a novice and just using solid acrylic and was wondering if you would do the clear straight on top on the same day. Big day indeed.

Hey mate solid colour when I did my hatch I put the clear on the same day but I also mixed some clear with the colour on the final few coats before I did straight clear... most paint shops won’t clear over a solid colour but I always do and the clear mixed with the colour gives it more depth... I’m going to block this hj in a few weeks to get any shit that’s fallen in it then clear coat again that way it will be nice and flat when buffed
