Depending on what you do with exhaust you could,

Weld up the holes in the trailing arms and make new holes further aft

Hi Mick. I can't advise on whether or not you can adapt your original swaybar around the 9". I replaced mine with a Whiteline swaybar and have fitted it up.  The mounting rods bolt up under the upper trailing arm brackets.  I can get you a pic if you wish. No apparent issues, but haven't driven with it yet.  Check out the thread "rear sway bar" (sorry I don't know how to attach it here) and you can get some info from there. Cheers Ron

Mine is bolted to the lower arms, i drilled fresh holes and moved it backward and tilted it down at the rear a lil to clear the large center housing mine has.My arms were also plated at he same time.

I bought a Whiteline swaybar ( BHR37) years ago for my LX to suit 9 inch diff.
Think the only difference from standard LX was that it was supplied with larger U bolts to mount to axle tubes on diff housing.
It's very snug, but it fits.

Speaking of sway bars, did the A9X have an upgraded front anti roll bar or was it just the std SL/R 5000 & SS bar?
