Shouldn't start this project until I finish the other 3 on the go but doing it differently

Usually strip back to bare shell then slowly rebuild, very very slowly

this time going to do bit each month so it can be driven to Cars & Coffee first Sunday each month

with aim of finished by end of the year

Attached File  IMAG0752.jpg   155.66K   13 downloads

another I can use to replace

Attached File  IMAG0751.jpg   365.72K   13 downloads

I haven't taken a black lower dash facia off but the lx woodgrain ones are glued on. I would guess the black ones are the same.

thanks

I might fish oil the section then seal it

that would be why the guard rusts through along the edge

I hate to see someone trusting those little floor jacks like that, I've seen more of them collapse than I care to think about... at the very least you could slide the wheels under the chassis rails to take some of the weight off your feet when they get pinned!

My old boss used to walk up to the front of the car and let the jack down without warning, if the car crashed to the ground because we didn't have jack stands under it we'd get a kick up the backside!

I can't believe you don't even have rust behind the bonnet hinges, that looks like a real nice shell. At this pace you'll be pouring on purple in no time!

yes usually slide wheel under car but couldn't find my milk crate to sit on so was sitting on the wheel.

no part of my body legs or feet under car while working

had people I knew die under cars when jacks went bad
