I’ve done myself a HQ brake upgrade on my UC to compliment the VN diff going in the rear.

No real issues, pulled out the check valve and will be replacing the brass fittings in the M/cylinder and grinding a bit off the calliper mount.

I’ve gone to check out the flex brake lines and realised neither the HQ or UC lines will work due to the location of the HQ brake line fitting position.

Has anyone come up with a solution that avoids the flex line getting damaged?

Hi Danyon. Someone more knowledgeable will confirm or otherwise but is it feasible to swap the stub axles over (left to right) as per a hoppers Stoppers upgrade and run the calipers to the back like that?  They then run the cable behind the stub axle.  I've just done this with my hoppers. There is thread on that "hoppers stopper conversion". Good luck with it. Cheers Ron

Torana_Boy, see attached Photo of my PBR Caliper - I got a Machinist Mate of mine to machine & drill the front of the Caliper exactly like an L34 - we then just put a Bolt & Copper Washer in the HQ Position Hole.

Dunno if the mounting point for the flex line to hard line is different on UC vs LX?

You can use the standard HQ lines if you have the cakipers on the rear. Caliper do tend to bump into the UCA though. You can either fit a steering stop or clearance the UCA.

The way I mounted mine suits std LX Brake Hose + Caliper cleared UCA but I made 10mm High Half-Moon Notch above Caliper for safety
