Stupid question time.

I know I havent been around for a LONG time, but I have found a bit of enthusiasm to work on the LH.

I have a big cap HEI distibutor, and have bought a small cap (GB926 - VL etc) and a XD/XE Falcon rotor (GB786).

Put it all together, and all seems fine, but I am really not sure that the rotor actualy contacts the cap.

I have chucked a meter on it, and it shows nothing.

Are these the correct parts? Should I try something else?

Cheers.

Disregard, stupid me!

I just check an old points dissy, seems they dont touch either!

Same cap and same length rotor.

Could have sworn the old one touched!

if they touched, either the rotor or the cap would break !!!

small gap which the spark jumps, hence the black arcing marks and a bit of build up in the caps.
