If you mean from the factory then yes, there were nine different radiators for 6 cylinder engines in the LX model alone...

LX pre-ADR27A (RADIATOR ASSY - Regular Manual 6 Cyl Exc/AC) p/n 9937905
LX pre-ADR27A (RADIATOR ASSY - H/Duty Manual 6 Cyl with or (optional) without A/C) p/n 9937131
LX pre-ADR27A (RADIATOR ASSY - Regular Auto 6 Cyl Exc/AC) p/n 9937904
LX pre-ADR27A (RADIATOR ASSY - H/Duty Auto 6 Cyl with or (optional) without A/C) p/n 9937130

LX w/ADR27A (RADIATOR ASSY - Regular Manual 6 Cyl Exc/AC) p/n 9933551
LX w/ADR27A (RADIATOR ASSY - H/Duty Manual 6 Cyl Exc/AC) p/n 9941932
LX w/ADR27A (RADIATOR ASSY - H/Duty Manual 6 Cyl w/AC) p/n 9941931
LX w/ADR27A (RADIATOR ASSY - Regular Auto 6 Cyl Exc/AC) p/n 9933552
LX w/ADR27A (RADIATOR ASSY - H/Duty Auto 6 Cyl Exc/AC) p/n 9941931
LX w/ADR27A (RADIATOR ASSY - H/Duty Auto 6 Cyl w/AC) p/n 9945186

V8 engines had another dozen-odd different radiator variations.

There were five different fan blade assemblies just for the 6 cylinder alone...

LX pre-ADR27A (BLADE ASSY - 6 Cyl Eng Exc/AC) p/n 2823424
LX pre-ADR27A (BLADE ASSY - 6 Cyl Eng w/AC) p/n 9937024

LX w/ADR27A (BLADE ASSY - 6 Cyl Eng Manual Exc/AC) p/n 2823840
LX w/ADR27A (BLADE ASSY - 6 Cyl Eng Auto Exc/AC) p/n 9942276
LX w/ADR27A (BLADE ASSY - Clutch Type - 6 Cyl Eng w/AC) p/n 3947772

One of those was a "flex fan" but I can't remember which and the parts catalog doesn't say.

And then there were five different fan spacers and three different Radiator Guard / Shroud assemblies fitted depending on the combinations above.

The clutch fan had metal blades (painted black), and from memory I think it had 7 blades, I recall noticing that they weren't evenly spaced, but there's no way they'd still be available genuine and they're bloody expensive to buy / replace and not all that reliable after a few years anyway.

Most people these days don't run an engine-driven fan at all, just electric thermo fans.

The Holden part numbers will mean very little to a radiator guy, some of the differences between them were as simple as the thermo switch location. I'd just get a radiator specialist to build you whatever radiator you want, you could go 2, 3 or even 5 core if you've got money to burn, but unless you're turbocharging it probably wouldn't be worth it, but that's your choice.

There are some reasonably priced alloy radiators selling on ebay too, but it's a bit of a lottery. Some people have had good luck with them but it's impossible to tell the good from the cheap 'n nasty just going by the web page (and of course the sellers will all tell you their product is the best).

P.S. I forgot to mention you'd be better off running a separate oil cooler for the auto trans too if you can find room for one, they do a much better cooling job than the old-style tube through the bottom radiator tank and it saves a lot of hassle if R&Ring the radiator later on.

My Uc had a big clutch type fan on it, always assumed it had been retro fitted by an uncle but maybe it was original, stuck up behind the little guard on the rad, made working in the engine bay a scary proposition!

I've got a clutch fan in the WB ute.  Not sure if it's original or out of an old commodore. Seems to go alright but yeah, I wouldn't go near it without a shroud on it. Cheers Ron

It's been so long since I've had anything to do with a 6 cylinder that I can't remember whether they're interchangeable with a V8 or not, I think they may be??
