My Hatch has Mickey Thompson Sportsman SR's 26-12-15, and I can't imagine you getting anything a great deal bigger in there without a good bit of cutting, another BIG consideration is the height and the limited amount of clearance/travel, available above the tyre, if you want the car low I think the 295-50-15 is the wrong tyre, I'd be looking for something a little shorter overall.

Yes, but I don't run them, I'm running a Bridgestone 215/60/15 on the front, maybe 25.2" tall? and due to my deep dish front wheels I really couldn't get anything taller on there. 3" BS on a 15x7. Pillar has about 2" cut out of it rather than the folded over or cut off seam and it still should have had a lil bit more.

The rears are 15x10 with the equivalent of a 5"BS, I say equivalent as they have slightly more BS to accommodate the difference between drums and the Commodore Discs that it now runs. Diff is standard length, with the exception of the Commodore Discs.
I can get a pic, but can't find one right now. I think from memory there is about 20mm front and rear from the tyre to the wheel arch, wheel arches are not cut in the area and have the original untouched edge/lip still showing.

I got 295/50 on mine and you also have to watch for clearance at the back bottom of the rear door, it gets very close there. I have had the original guards cut all around and have flares.

Yup, car's filthy! Camera angle makes the flare look like its sitting funny, in actual fact they fit very nice.
Gap at the front is 20mm, gap at the rear maybe 26mm, rear springs are lowered Lovells.
Sorry it took so long.

They fill the space all right
Just got me 26/12/15’s and just waiting on the front 26/10/15 and they going on 8in rim with a 4.5in back space so they probably going to be tighter than the rear haha
It’s a big jump from the 8 to to 10in the tyres but the 8in tyre won’t go on the 8in rim. The rims on the slow boat from China. Thanks for the advice hey!!
I just keep cutting to they turn from lock to lock

I was wondering what ride height springs are you running? I just a bit stumped with what too run the standard height or lowered with the standard Torana stubs. Still waiting on the rims “container held by customs” lol the front end has just been blasted and painted. Just trying to find the right springs the first time if possible.

Mine has the first lowered option from Lovells, is that 1"??? I bought them maybe 27 years ago!
The front is wearing HQ spindles with the original standard RTS coils and 5mm spacers on top of the coils, it never had the spring spacers with the 14" wheels but with the height difference of the current tyre choice it needed the nose lifted a little to sit similar to before.

The front are standards with a 5mm spacer but on HQ stubs so I should probably be able to just go the first down from standard there as well I think because the HQ’s stubs are one 1in different to to Torana’s ones?
