When bolting bonnet scoop on is it flare rubber strip that is used between scoop and bonnet? Also any other ideas/options would be welcome.

Noticed that on the A9X scoop fitting thread. I would prefer something between the scoop and bonnet. Just seeking options/ideas from others members and what they have done. Looks like many have used flare rubber, not really to my liking.

There are (at least) two sizes of piping for flares too, you can get a smaller one that's about half the size of the stuff you normally see on flares.

The smaller stuff might look better on a bonnet scoop?

I used that rubber foam sealing tape, its single sided and seals when bolted down to under 1mm. Leaves no edge between the scoop and the bonnet. I also use it on my flares.

Thanks for that, good idea. I've never really liked the rubber piping look when used on bonnet scoops and reluctant to bolt it straight onto the bonnet.
I reckon I'll give it a go.

Use closed cell tape - open cell foam will hold moisture...
