years ago hen I was younger always seemed to have some thing left over after major work on cars

a bolt, couple washers or screw maybe some strange bracket

probably  due to replacing them with another for some reason

changed now

when I put things back together there are bits missing, a bolt or nut, screws etc

preferably the right one to match the others

today putting guard back on hatch, 2 captive nut/clip things

couldn't find them so salvaged 2 of of a LX sitting in paddock

Oh don't even mention spanners, put them down then spent half an hour looking when I need it 10 mins

later

by the way anyone have a spare LX front bumper bracket bolt

lost one of those as well

lol, I do but I cant find them lol. Is that the dome one ? I should have some somewhere. I do the same thing. I find them down the track. Sometimes in the tracky pants due to change into my shorts. I have a high powered magnet on a rope. Have you seen the magnetic work trays ? I live semi rural and the dirt sux assss. I cant hear my precious nut/clip things hit the ground. Then I sit there debating whether to order a replacement nut/clip and wait two weeks or keep on looking. Ray

no it's the bolt that goes through mounting box under the guard at the front

need 2 now lost another one, put bumper back on to go on Club cruise yesterday used standard ype bolts with washer

I put one in my pocket or Ute to use as sample when I went to other house and check my spares

none in stash of spare bits and can't find sample

probably end up in washing machine and upset wife

Think you might be off on a trip to the local fastener . Should be able to order on-line if someone knows what thread and length. Get some 8.8 grade

they look like the bolts that hold the bracket to chassis rail and inner guard

Attached File  IMAG0877.jpg   72.15K   4 downloads

these bolts are same size 3/8 UNC but have bigger washer

bolt through the bracket with tapped thread in bumper mount
